Buddy Role (Paid Facilitator Opportunity)

At HENRY, we are passionate about babies and children getting the best possible start in life. This means supporting the whole family to make positive lifestyle changes, creating healthier and happier home environments, and building healthier communities.

HENRY is looking for local Waltham Forest residents who are interested in a flexible paid role supporting pregnant women or parents of young children.

Our local Buddies:

  • Support families 1-to-1 by building relationships, listening, and supporting them to make any small positive changes they wish to.  This is provided by phone or text
  • Promote health and well-being as well as being there to simply listen.
  • Get to know other support services in Waltham Forest and become part of a network of support for families.

Why become a Buddy?

  • Make a difference to your individuals and your community
  • Meet new people - our HENRY team and other volunteers working closely together
  • Learn new skills
  • Free accredited HENRY training
  • You’ll receive ongoing support, supervision and training
  • This could support your future career
