HENRY is delighted to announce that Beckie Lang will take up the role of Chief Executive in July 2024, succeeding Kim Roberts after her remarkable 12-year tenure. With a deep-rooted connection to HENRY and an impressive track record in family support and public health, Beckie is set to lead the next phase of our growth.

Beckie’s Leadership Journey

Beckie brings wide-ranging expertise from the charity sector:

  • Director of Network Impact, Home-Start UK - overseeing 180 local charities supporting families nationwide

  • CEO, Parent-Infant Foundation - instrumental in strengthening parent–infant services and reviving the First 1001 Days Movement

  • Public health nutritionist and practitioner trainer, with years of service in early years development

Beckie’s first encounter with HENRY was more than a decade ago, and she has remained a passionate ambassador ever since.

Beckie on Her New Role

“Since being trained in the HENRY programme a decade ago, I have been an ambassador. I am passionate about all babies and children getting the best start in life, and that needs whole family support to make positive lifestyle changes. I have watched HENRY grow from strength to strength, building its evidence base, demonstrating its impact, and ultimately increasing its reach. HENRY brings together my love of early life nutrition and public health with my belief in the value of relationships in enabling children and families to thrive. I am thrilled to be leading the next phase of the HENRY journey with the staff and trustee team."

Sam Olsen, HENRY’s Chair, added:

“I am delighted that Beckie is joining us as HENRY’s next Chief Executive to continue the life-changing work that Kim and the team have achieved over the last 12 years. Beckie's specialist and leadership experience, as well as her passion and values, make her an outstanding fit for HENRY - championing families at the start of life so that all children get the start in life they deserve.”

Why This Matters
