Healthy Families Practitioner Waltham Forest (maternity cover)

0.4 fte (15 hours a week) 12-month maternity cover contract

£26,078 per annum (actual pro-rata salary £10,431) pending a pay review, plus up to 6% matched pension contribution

HENRY is an innovative national charity that is making a real difference to the lives of young children and their families. 

We are seeking a healthy families practitioner to work with HENRY’s Waltham Forest team to deliver HENRY programmes, drop-in sessions and workshops face to face and online in the Waltham Forest Borough.  

Working alongside parents and carers, you will support them to build their knowledge and confidence to create the conditions for wider lifestyle change within the family. 

Your passion for working with families will mean you are well placed to deliver healthy lifestyle services  and build collaborative relationships with internal and external colleagues and community partners. 

You will have an empathic and caring approach which supports families to give their children the best start in life.  HENRY is an organisation with a strong culture rooted in development, self-reflection, partnership and learning.  We will provide ongoing training and support to help you flourish as a Healthy Families Practitioner.

This role is based in the London Borough of Waltham Forest and will involve travelling to community venues within this area. We offer hybrid working from your home and an office base in the Family Hub buildings.
